Directions
By Car
From London (on the A12):
- You will come to a roundabout on the outskirts of Ipswich (Toys R Us is in front of you).
- Turn right onto the A14 towards Felixstowe.
- Take the first turning off of the a14 to Ipswich and Worstead (A137).
- Head for Ipswich town centre.
- After approximately 1.5 miles you will come to a series of roundabouts, continue towards the town centre.
- At the traffic lights, get in the outside lane and go straight across and over a river bridge.
- Stay in the outside lane and go straight to the first roundabout and take the second exit at the next roundabout (turning to the right on the A1022, Star Lane).
- Stay in the outside lane, and a church will be on your right-hand side.
- Continue on the outside lane and follow the brown and white tourist information signs to the Salthouse Hotel.

From the East (A14 - Bury St Edmunds):
- Do not take Ipswich West or the Ipswich Central, A12 London turning; stay on the A14. Take the next turning (A137) for Ipswich and Worstead and head for Ipswich town centre.
- Follow as above.
